This picture that shows dappled light to the vines which is typical for the entire vineyard. This is the reason why we do not have much of a sunburning problem, but do occasionally get a few burned since it is practically impossible to protect each cluster. With our system of canopy management, we remove leaves from the north cordon, and minimal leaf removal on the south cordon, but do cut some canes to allow laterals to produce protective leaves.
